Operations Accounting Specialist

What you will do

• Assemble and analyze monthly financial statements for franchise distributors within a 14-calendar-day turnaround.
• Review financial statements for accuracy before formal review by the Senior Financial Advisor or ACES Director.
• Explain significant financial statement elements and provide feedback to help distributors improve profitability.
• Provide relevant financial information about distributorships to internal operations, credit, and development stakeholders.
• Participate in process improvement projects involving process mapping, consistency, inventory valuation methodology, and systems issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or five years of related accounting experience.
• At least one year of financial reporting experience and two years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in distribution.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, written, telephone, and explanation skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, organization, independent judgment, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work seated at a computer and telephone for prolonged periods and occasionally lift or move more than 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or Platinum general ledger systems.
• Touch 10-key skills.
