Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work model with two days per week working from home and regular office engagement

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement data and analytics solutions on the Microsoft Azure Databricks platform.
• Build pipelines that acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from diverse sources.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Partner with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to deliver fit-for-use solutions aligned with architecture blueprints.
• Apply coding standards and best practices to create efficient, reusable services and components.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in data engineering and applied IT skills across at least two IT profiles.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Web App, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Apache Spark, and SQL.
• Experience contributing to IT operations, IT project management, enterprise architecture, and integrated risk management.
• At least two relevant roles and experience managing or influencing people or organizations to achieve significant IT outcomes.
• Ability to define strategy and lead delivery and transformation of business outcomes through IT.

Nice to have

• MongoDB experience.
• Azure Data Engineer, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Spark Developer Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or Azure Data Fundamentals certification.
