What you will do
- Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support grid connection applications, including G99/G100 processes and related documentation.
- Interpret grid compliance requirements and translate them into engineering deliverables.
- Liaise with Distribution Network Operators, Transmission System Operators, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate grid compliance studies, including load flow, fault level, and protection studies.
- Support technical documentation, commissioning, grid compliance testing, validation, and technical risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Experience in grid compliance, power systems, or electrical engineering.
- Understanding of UK grid codes and connection processes, including G99 and G100.
- Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them in practical engineering contexts.
- Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Methodical approach and strong attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience working with DNOs, TSOs, or in the energy and power generation sector.
- Familiarity with power system analysis tools such as DIgSILENT or ETAP.
- Knowledge of protection systems and control schemes.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
