Senior Logistics Specialist Merchant & Vendor, Inbound Logistics (Retail)

hirify.global is a large retail company operating a network supported by domestic vendors, distribution centers, transportation providers, and supply chain teams.

What you will do

• Coordinate inbound freight movements from domestic vendors to distribution centers, including scheduling, tendering, load building, appointments, and carrier communication.
• Partner with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Replenishment, Sourcing, Distribution Center Operations, Finance, Procurement, and IT teams to align transportation plans with inventory, seasonal, promotional, and product launch needs.
• Manage vendor relationships, communicate routing guides and shipping standards, and resolve transportation issues affecting delivery schedules, inventory flow, and costs.
• Monitor freight movement and proactively resolve shipment exceptions, capacity constraints, delays, and disruptions.
• Analyze transportation costs, freight trends, service metrics, chargebacks, and vendor compliance performance; create scorecards and dashboards.
• Lead improvements in vendor compliance, transportation visibility, automation, process standardization, SOPs, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of experience in domestic transportation or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic freight modes and carrier operations.
• Hands-on experience with transportation management systems; Manhattan TMS is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
