Overview
Design and optimize competitive and ranked systems for VALORANT, a character-based tactical shooter. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create engaging player experiences across multiple platforms.
What you will do
- Design competitive and ranked systems that encourage player investment.
- Support matchmaking services to ensure fair competition.
- Collaborate with product managers and design leadership to explore new design opportunities.
- Create multiple design solutions and articulate trade-offs.
- Playtest and improve existing and new designs.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of professional game design experience
- Experience with at least one AAA+ online competitive game
- Ability to create and improve complex systems with player impact awareness
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
Nice to have
- Passion and deep understanding of online competitive games.
- Experience with matchmaking or ranked systems development.
- Familiarity with online shooters, especially VALORANT or tactical shooters.
- Experience balancing competitive integrity with satisfying game systems.
- Experience developing on PC, mobile, and console platforms.
