Adjunct Instructor - Art Appreciation

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver art appreciation lectures, seminars, and laboratory offerings.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage students in active learning, critical thinking, discussion, collaboration, and hands-on activities.
• Provide office hours, academic guidance, feedback, and mentoring to students.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Studio Art or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to teach up to six semester credit hours per semester on an as-needed basis.
• Completed application, cover letter, CV or resume, at least three current professional references, and unofficial transcripts.
• Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and credential verification. hirify.global does not pay the $100,000 H-1B filing fee, and future H-1B sponsorship may be affected by Texas filing restrictions.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Art History or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Previous collegiate-level online teaching experience.
