Localization Language Lead, Polish (Game Localization)

What you will do

• Own the localization strategy, quality bar, and final sign-off for Polish content across 2K titles.
• Develop and enforce Polish glossaries, style guides, cultural policies, and naming conventions.
• Review and edit in-game text, UI, scripts, voiceover, and marketing content for tone, fluency, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Audit in-development and near-final game builds and partner with LQA to investigate, triage, and resolve complex linguistic bugs.
• Lead Polish voiceover casting, script reviews, and creative direction sessions.
• Collaborate with localization, production, marketing, publishing, development, age-rating, and UI teams while mentoring linguists and vendors.

Requirements

• Professional localization experience in games, technology, or entertainment.
• Native fluency in Polish with mastery of grammar, tone, regional nuance, and Polish gaming culture.
• Advanced written and spoken English for representing language decisions across global teams.
• Ability to work independently on complex language projects and resolve ambiguous or conflicting linguistic issues.
• Strong knowledge of platform-holder guidelines, brand alignment, age-rating requirements, and visual/language compliance.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, translation memory systems, XLOC, JIRA, or CMS platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with voiceover scripting, dubbing production, and linguistic performance direction.
• Bachelor’s degree in translation, linguistics, media, or a related field.
