Marketing & Business Development Manager (Sports, Media and Entertainment)

Location: Washington, D.C.; hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day working remotely from home.

Salary: $136,000–$199,000 per year in Washington, D.C.; $146,000–$213,000 in New York; $125,000–$183,000 in Denver.

What you will do

• Lead marketing and business development activities for the global Sports, Media and Entertainment sector.
• Develop and implement annual business plans aligned with sector strategy and firm objectives.
• Plan marketing communications, seminars, client events, CLE trainings, conferences, digital content, and profile-raising initiatives.
• Coordinate sponsorships, negotiate agreements, manage vendors, and evaluate return on investment.
• Support client portfolio development, financial analysis, feedback programs, and key account management.
• Lead pitch strategy and develop tailored RFP, pitch, proposal, targeting, and credentials materials.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the legal or professional services industry.
• Demonstrated people management experience and strong project management skills.
• Strategic and commercial awareness with excellent communication, writing, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Experience working independently and with cross-functional, global teams in a collaborative professional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the sports, media, or entertainment industries.
• Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA.
• Familiarity with the firm’s AI tools, Interaction, or Foundation.
