Adjunct Instructor - Studio Art

Location: Stephenville, Texas; teaching assignments may be at the Stephenville or Fort Worth campuses, or through approved online instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver studio art lectures, seminars, and laboratory instruction for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage students through active learning, discussions, collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on activities.
• Provide office-hour support, academic guidance, feedback, and mentoring.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Studio Art or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Knowledge of studio art subject matter sufficient for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Studio Art or a closely related field.
• Previous collegiate online teaching experience.
