Location: Remote within all U.S. states; seasonal, fully remote position

What you will do
- Prepare, review, and e-file individual federal and state income tax returns using secure online platforms.
- Interview clients to collect complete and accurate financial information.
- Conduct secure video and audio consultations, answer tax questions, review returns, and obtain e-filing authorizations.
- Request, organize, and securely manage tax documents, including Form 8879 and state equivalents.
- Provide clear tax advice, research complex tax issues, and ensure compliance with IRS Circular 230, the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, and applicable state and local laws.
- Follow defined workflows and deadlines while supporting other product queues when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of paid experience preparing federal and state individual income tax returns.
- Active, unrestricted Enrolled Agent or CPA credential and an active PTIN.
- Experience with e-filing processes and commercial tax preparation software.
- Legal authorization to prepare and file taxes in applicable states, plus all licensing, certification, and bonding requirements for the state of residence.
- Customer-focused communication skills, sound judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Private, quiet workspace and dedicated hardwired high-speed internet connection meeting company security standards.
