Tax Manager (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Advise financial institutions and financial services companies on complex federal and state tax matters.
• Oversee tax compliance assignments, including technical reviews of tax research, work papers, allocations, and returns.
• Review and assist with income tax accounting reporting, including corporate tax accounting and ASC 740 matters.
• Manage customer engagements, communicate progress and resolutions, and support billing and collections.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop engagement team members while reviewing their work.
• Build customer, referral, and professional networks to support business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; a Master’s degree in Tax or an LLM is preferred.
• 5+ years of recent public accounting firm experience.
• EA license or CPA certification required.
• Strong experience with corporate tax accounting; ASC 740 experience is preferred.
• Leadership, project management, communication, networking, and customer relationship skills.
• Experience with tax software and technology, multitasking, and continuous learning.
