Technical Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Candidates must be able to work on-site and meet applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security, residency, right-to-work, and potentially nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Design and technically lead the implementation of secure on-premises, cloud, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Work with customer architecture teams, account leadership, delivery teams, and third parties to develop practical security solutions.
• Assess vulnerabilities and risks, define security requirements, and apply secure-by-design principles.
• Develop and enforce security policies aligned with customer, legal, Defence, and industry requirements.
• Integrate security technologies across identity, network, endpoint, cloud, monitoring, and multi-vendor environments.
• Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and support customer security transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Security clearance is required.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or a related discipline, preferably in Defence or highly regulated environments.
• Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures aligned with NIST SP 800-207.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, security monitoring, threat modelling, and risk assessment.
• Experience applying NIST, ISO 27001, JSP 440, HMG Security Policy Framework, SABSA, and TOGAF.
• Relevant degree or industry experience, with certifications such as Security+, CASP+/SecurityX, CCSP, CISSP, ISSAP, CCP, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Additional Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google cloud security qualifications.
• Advanced degree or certifications such as CISM or CISA.
