Simulation Software Engineer (Eurofighter Flight Simulator)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

hirify.global Defence and Space develops aerospace and defence technologies, including realistic flight simulation systems for training and operational support.

What you will do

• Derive system requirements from operational requirements for new simulator functionalities.
• Update simulation models representing aircraft equipment and implement software models in C++ and Ada.
• Create and execute unit, system, acceptance, and integration tests using C++, Python, and Jenkins.
• Develop tools for test and simulation systems, including code and ICD generators.
• Manage software configuration and prepare documentation according to software lifecycle processes.
• Coordinate development activities with international partners, customers, and German colleagues.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software design, testing, integration, and both procedural and object-oriented programming.
• Very good knowledge of C++, Ada 95, QML, OpenGL, Bash, Python, PowerShell, Linux, and Git.
• Advanced Linux knowledge is mandatory.
• Experience with DOORS and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, RS422, and 1553.
• Very good written and spoken English; experience writing software lifecycle documentation in English.
• Availability for occasional travel is mandatory, mainly within the EU, averaging one week every two months.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Eurofighter program.
• Avionics or simulation-domain experience, including rehostings and visual systems.
• Experience with Jenkins and continuous integration and delivery.
