What you will do

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates with preconstruction managers, project managers, estimators, and project teams.
• Perform quantity take-offs across construction systems and solicit subcontractor pricing for budgets and bidding events.
• Scope, select, and recommend subcontractors based on project requirements and best value.
• Update project estimates as scope evolves and maintain accurate estimate archives and historic cost data.
• Support cost validation, value design, procurement lead-time planning, preconstruction schedules, and project pursuits.
• Develop conceptual budgets and cost models using Uniformat II system costs, while reviewing estimates and mentoring other estimators and project managers.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in engineering, architecture, or management, or relevant professional experience.
• 6+ years of commercial construction experience, including knowledge of construction means, methods, building types, and procurement methods.
• Ability to read and understand project plans and perform accurate quantity take-offs.
• Proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of OST, Bluebeam, VICO, Navisworks, and Revit.
• Verification of employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.

• Experience estimating commercial industrial projects or sitework.
• Experience with DESTINI Estimator, JOIN, and BuildingConnected.
• Knowledge of design-build, CM at Risk, and best-value processes.
