Adjunct Instructor - Biological Sciences (Fort Worth)

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses in biological sciences.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and create exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Use active learning, discussion, collaboration, hands-on activities, and innovative instructional technologies.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, office hours, and student support.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Earned master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Ability to work at the Fort Worth campus for in-person teaching duties.

Nice to have

• Previous face-to-face or online collegiate teaching experience.
• Ability to teach Immunology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Histology, General Physiology, or Microbiology.

• Temporary, part-time appointments assigned by semester on an as-needed basis.
