Senior Publishing Ethics Screening Analyst

What you will do

• Review and assess manuscripts flagged by research integrity screening tools and workflows.
• Investigate concerns, fact-check findings, distinguish valid issues from false positives, and determine appropriate actions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to editors, publishers, authors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assess, prioritise, assign, and manage publishing ethics cases in line with procedures and service levels.
• Act as a subject matter expert, coach colleagues, and support team capability development.
• Identify emerging risks and lead or contribute to improvements in policies, processes, workflows, and detection mechanisms.

Requirements

• Experience in research integrity, publishing ethics, manuscript screening, editorial triage, or scholarly publishing.
• Knowledge of peer review, research integrity principles, and publishing ethics best practices.
• Strong analytical, investigative, fact-checking, problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
• Experience working with policies, procedures, compliance frameworks, quality assurance processes, or editorial assessment workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring colleagues, leading initiatives, improving processes, or contributing to operational change.
