Managing Attorney (FERC)

What you will do

• Lead internal and external attorneys in FERC-related proceedings.
• Oversee FERC filings, including rate cases, transactional approvals, tariff amendments, market-based rate matters, rulemakings, and RTO proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel on transmission, wholesale production, corporate affiliation, and other FERC compliance matters.
• Manage litigation before FERC, including Section 205 and 206 proceedings under the Federal Power Act.
• Manage appellate litigation in federal court and FERC enforcement proceedings.
• Support policy advocacy and advise nuclear generation operations on NRC regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in the state where the position is located.
• 10+ years of experience in a corporate law department, law firm, government practice, or equivalent legal setting.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage direct reports.
• Experience with FERC regulatory matters, including formula rate proceedings and market-based rate matters.
• Knowledge of RTO market rules, FERC administrative litigation, or NRC regulations is preferred.
