Instrumentation and Electrical Technician - Tamar

Location: Offshore Tamar Production Platform, Israel; site-based 14/14 rotation

What you will do

• Assist senior technicians with installing, calibrating, and maintaining pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of control valves, actuators, positioners, analyzers, control systems, and fire and gas protective systems.
• Perform loop checks, functional testing, commissioning support, and basic fault finding.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheets.
• Assist with electrical isolations of motors and breakers and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and housekeeping requirements.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation and electrical principles.
• Technical diploma, vocational training, or apprenticeship in electrical and instrumentation, instrumentation, automation, or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work in an oil and gas operating environment on 14-day shifts and at the offshore site.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Good verbal and written English skills.

Nice to have

• Basic maintenance experience with electrical or instrumentation equipment in an operating process facility.
• Knowledge of fire and gas protective systems.
• Initiative and eagerness to learn through on-the-job and formal technical training.
