FVP, Relationship Manager (Venture Banking)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States

Salary: $165,000–$225,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus targets of up to 40% in cash and 40% in restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Originate and manage a portfolio of venture-backed and emerging-growth companies.
• Build referral relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and founders.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager using a consultative, high-touch approach.
• Structure deposit, treasury management, and credit facility solutions.
• Manage portfolio performance, renewals, credit quality, and ongoing client needs.
• Drive deposit growth and fee income while advising clients on cash management, liquidity planning, and banking strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in venture banking, emerging growth, or commercial banking.
• Proven business development and relationship management success within the venture ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of venture capital, startup operating models, and funding cycles.
• Solid credit acumen and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and comply with credit, regulatory, and internal requirements.
