Language Assets Coordinator (Media Localization)

Location: Hybrid, with in-office attendance at the Toronto head office at least three days per week; applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Coordinate global requests for subtitles, dubbing materials, scripts, and related metadata.
• Manage language assets throughout the full lifecycle, from request and sourcing through delivery.
• Coordinate workflows with sales agents, clients, internal stakeholders, localization vendors, dubbing studios, and subtitle providers.
• Track language versions, deadlines, client specifications, version control, and delivery records.
• Resolve missing, delayed, or rejected language materials and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Support new-client onboarding, language project workflows, and process improvements that reduce time to market.

Requirements

• High proficiency in Excel or project management tools such as Airtable.
• Understanding of descriptive and technical metadata for language assets and global storefronts.
• Deep knowledge of subtitle formats including SRT, STL, SCC, VTT, and DFXP/TTML, plus dubbing audio specifications.
• Expert organization skills for managing multiple language tracks, including dubs, M&Es, and forced narratives.
• Ability to interpret legal documentation, communicate concise status updates, and maintain accurate tracking data.
• Knowledge of linguistic QA processes for cultural accuracy and synchronization.
