Location: Hybrid, with work locations in Vienna, Virginia; Pensacola, Florida; or Winchester, Virginia, United States

Salary: $131,700–$206,450 annually

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Azure Databricks workspaces, clusters, workloads, and platform performance.
• Support Lakehouse architecture and data platforms using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related Azure services.
• Implement data governance and security controls, including Unity Catalog, RBAC, Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
• Design and support ETL/ELT and data integration solutions with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions using Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git-based CI/CD.
• Monitor platform reliability, investigate incidents, optimize costs, and support application teams during an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure data platforms, including Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Cosmos DB, and similar services.
• Experience administering Azure Databricks, including cluster management, performance optimization, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with cloud security, governance, access controls, metadata management, cataloging, and data lineage.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing cloud platforms, databases, and data processing workloads.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps using Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Alation, Ataccama, Collibra, or similar data catalog solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, AI Foundry, and modern analytics or data science workloads.
• Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or capacity planning.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
