Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer – DeltaV

Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States. On-site role with up to 10% domestic and international travel and 24/7 on-site or on-call operational support.

Salary: USD 136,906.95–185,227.05 per year.

What you will do

• Lead technical and capital projects supporting upstream, downstream, and solution preparation automation needs.
• Design and implement process control automation solutions primarily using Emerson DeltaV DCS.
• Support site construction, start-up, commissioning, qualification, operational readiness, and automation installation verification.
• Act as system owner for manufacturing automation processes and provide day-to-day troubleshooting support for plant, manufacturing, process, and utility systems.
• Lead root cause analyses, incident investigations, change controls, new product or technology introductions, and automation configuration changes.
• Develop specifications, SOPs, cGMP documentation, operating standards, and automation engineering capabilities through mentoring.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, Associate’s Degree with 8 years, Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years, Master’s Degree with 2 years, or a Doctorate Degree.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV, process control network design and segregation, virtual infrastructure, and system integration using OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus.
• Knowledge of automation system design, process control engineering, troubleshooting, OEM automation software, and field instrumentation in GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience with upstream, downstream, or solution preparation operations such as media, harvest, mixers, bioreactors, chromatography, viral filtration, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S88, S95, GAMP, GDP, and GMP standards, plus capital project lifecycle management and validation.
• Strong leadership, technical writing, communication, presentation, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
