Enterprise Data Engineering Manager, FVP (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in San Diego, Irvine, Los Angeles, Centennial, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Edison, or Omaha, United States. Remote and hybrid work are not available.

Salary: $145,000–$180,000 per year, plus target annual discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonuses of 10% each.

What you will do

• Lead the development and delivery of enterprise-scale, mission-critical data platforms, including Databricks Lakehouse and GCP services.
• Define the roadmap, vision, standards, and quality frameworks for enterprise data engineering and pipeline development.
• Establish DataOps and CI/CD practices, automating deployment, testing, monitoring, and data quality controls.
• Design scalable data infrastructure and end-to-end solutions for data sourcing, processing, integration, provisioning, and delivery.
• Lead, coach, and mentor Data Engineering teams while providing hands-on technical guidance in PySpark, SQL, dbt, Fivetran, and cloud-native development.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget and connect data solutions to business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing Data Engineering and Technology teams.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL Server, database management systems, cloud, and on-premises data ecosystems.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-native data ecosystems such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, including BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in Databricks and Spark, advanced Python, PySpark, SQL, Fivetran, dbt, data integration, streaming, and modern ELT/ETL technologies.
• Experience leading technical teams, setting technical direction, building Lakehouse platforms, and applying data architecture to business objectives.
