Principal Designer (Civil Structural)

What you will do

• Lead design and drafting activities within a team of modelers delivering structural engineering services for rail and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with digital engineering, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and civil designers and engineers.
• Support the design delivery of Melbourne’s Suburban Rail Loop East Linewide infrastructure package.
• Coach and train other designers while supporting a collaborative, efficient working environment.
• Coordinate project activities and engage with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualification in drafting or engineering technology.
• Experience working on infrastructure projects, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in the Bentley software suite, with preference for OpenBuildings Designer experience.
• Strong communication skills, creative thinking, and attention to design detail.
• Understanding of engineering solutions, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
