Graphic Artist - Bilingual (EN/FR) (Graphic Design)

Location: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; onsite work includes time on the casino floor and participation in assigned off-property events.

Salary: CAD $56,682–$74,772 per year

What you will do

• Conceptualize, design, and produce print, direct mail, out-of-home, internal, signage, branding, packaging, retail, and large-format materials.
• Translate strategic direction and agency branding into high-quality property collateral while maintaining established brand standards.
• Create and manipulate graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video for multimedia programs and marketing communications.
• Manage multiple projects, production schedules, approvals, deadlines, budgets, and changing priorities with the marketing team.
• Maintain design, photography, and video databases and manage Hard Rock image and logo usage transfers.
• Coordinate pre-press, specifications, asset handoffs, quality checks, and technical issues with agencies and print vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years of academic and professional experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
• Proven graphic design experience supported by a strong portfolio and exceptional creativity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, project-management, time-management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• AGCO License from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is required. Ability to work varying shifts and spend time in a casino-floor environment with changing crowd levels and noise.
