Data Engineer - Platform Innovation and Engineering (Databricks)

Location: Remote in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformations, and data products with cloud-native technologies.
• Build reusable solutions using source control, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to data models supporting enterprise analytics and operational use cases.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production data workloads.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders on platform capabilities and data solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, including Notebooks, Jobs, Delta Lake, and Spark.
• Experience with Prefect, GitHub, CI/CD practices, Azure DevOps, and Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Remote work requires a dedicated workspace that protects member PHI and HIPAA information, with internet service of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
