Medical Director – Cardiology – Evicore - Remote

Location: United States Work at Home; 100% work from home

Annual salary: USD 207,800–346,300, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete time-sensitive, specialized, evidence-based medical necessity reviews using EviCore’s case management software.
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with referring providers about the medical necessity and appropriateness of requested services or treatments.
• Use cardiology expertise to recommend alternative services or treatments when appropriate.
• Apply evidence-based decision making to support high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with more than 500 EviCore physician colleagues and stay current with healthcare regulations and industry developments.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license.
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease or Interventional Cardiology through ABMS or AOA.
• Eligibility to acquire additional state licenses as required.
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, typing, computer, and technology skills.
• Availability for a set Monday–Friday weekly schedule; an encrypted company workstation must be hard-wire connected to a modem or router, with wireless connection not permitted. Home internet must use cable broadband or fiber with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, URAC standards, and NCQA standards.
