TL;DR
EHS Professional (Environmental, Health and Safety): Developing and improving environmental, health, and safety programs for SEL facilities in Melbourne with an accent on Australian WHS compliance, regulatory reporting, hazard control, and incident prevention. Focus on managing chemical inventories and waste, identifying incident root causes, preparing corrective actions, and delivering safety training.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs for regional facilities.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and permit applications in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Manage chemical inventories, safety data sheets, scrapped materials, and facility waste.
  • Support hazard-control, accident-prevention, and site safety committee programs.
  • Review incident reports, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and communicate EHS training and advise managers and employees on safety practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge and application of Australian WHS legislation.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety under Australian requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field, engineering, physical sciences, or environmental sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of EHS-related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Satisfactory drug test and background check results.

Nice to have

  • EHS experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Internal auditor experience with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
