What you will do

  • Assess and monitor oncology patients under physician supervision and assist with examinations and procedures.
  • Administer investigational compounds, chemotherapy, and biotherapy according to clinical trial protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Perform venipuncture, maintain implanted ports and central venous access devices, and complete infusions and infusion-reaction monitoring.
  • Collect routine and study-specific samples, vital signs, ECGs, blood draws, medication lists, and other protocol-required data.
  • Educate patients on study procedures, self-administered protocol agents, diaries, and treatment adherence.
  • Coordinate patient-specific care with physicians, investigators, research staff, and other healthcare providers while documenting all care and study procedures.

Requirements

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification, or certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current Registered Nursing license in the state where the role is based.
  • IV and venous access device management skills.
  • Experience administering chemotherapy or biotherapy.
  • Knowledge of standard oncology care practices, patient education, clinical documentation, and applicable OSHA requirements for cytotoxic and biohazardous materials.

Nice to have

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
