Project Manager (Energy & Construction)

Location: Plainfield, Illinois, USA; travel to project locations within the USA is required.

What you will do

• Manage multiple small contracts or a medium-sized project, with scopes up to US$20 million and US$100 million respectively.
• Own the financial and technical success of assigned projects, including forecasting, cash flow, reporting, and resource management.
• Lead project execution in accordance with contract terms, company HSSE, quality, execution, and financial goals.
• Coordinate with Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, HR, HSE, and Finance stakeholders.
• Maintain client relationships, represent the project in meetings, and serve as the focal point for client communication.
• Manage change, mitigate risks, drive lessons learned, and contribute operational input to commercial and business development activities.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years since completing a first degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in project engineering, construction management, or project controls.
• At least 3 years of project site engineering or construction management experience.
• Professional degree, preferably in engineering or a related BS program.
• Broad knowledge of construction methods and equipment, engineering processes, fabrication capabilities, estimating, supply chain, and project controls.
• Knowledge of commercial contracting and negotiation strategies, with strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project locations within the USA for client meetings and site assessments.

• Experience in the energy and construction industry.
• Prior knowledge of concrete elevated tanks.
