Accounting Solution Architect (Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid work in the Alexandria, Virginia area, with in-person work required two days per week. Travel may be required up to 25%, and the work location may change based on client requirements.

Salary: $103,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with accounting and finance stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs, user stories, and specifications.
• Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using general ledger and financial reporting data.
• Guide junior developers and communicate technical outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
• Review technical solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, information systems, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, data analytics, financial management, or a related area.
• Experience translating accounting and audit requirements into technical solutions for development teams.
• Expertise analyzing general ledger and financial reporting data, including USSGL accounts.
• Experience with the Department of War’s War Data Platform, formerly Advana, Department of War ERP systems, or a similar data platform.
• At least an active Interim Secret Clearance and the ability to work in person two days per week in the Alexandria, Virginia area are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Department of the Navy, United States Marine Corps, Navy ERP, or Defense Agencies Initiative.
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, including Ontologies, Workshop Applications, Pipelines, and Data Health Checks.
• Experience querying multiple ERP subledger tables for procure-to-pay analysis.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and integrating on-premises and cloud-based data sources.
