Category Leadership Manager (CPG)

Location: Cincinnati, OH; in-office role with hybrid flexibility—3 days in the office and 2 days from home if desired. Travel may be required for up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $102,100–$127,600 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Advise Kroger buyers as a strategic category consultant and build long-term growth strategies.
• Identify customer issues, root causes, category opportunities, and actions that support business growth.
• Assess merchandising opportunities across shelf, assortment, innovation, and aisle strategy through a Kroger-specific lens.
• Analyze syndicated, shopper card, and household panel data to develop compelling category stories and recommendations.
• Prioritize category leadership topics with the hirify.global Kroger sales team and coordinate activities with Customer Business Development.
• Present category reviews and independently explain category management processes to buyers and senior customer management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the CPG industry, preferably in category leadership or category management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of syndicated and panel data, including Circana and Numerator.
• Preferred expertise with Kroger data systems, including 84.51, On Demand, and Circana.
• Applied project management and training experience, with strong planning and execution skills.
• Strong industry, sales, category management, and space management knowledge.
• Strong written, oral communication, analytical, evaluative, and interpersonal skills.
