Deep Learning Engineer II (AI)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Hybrid schedule with two days per week working from home.

What you will do

• Research and develop deep learning and signal processing systems for acoustic, vibration, ultrasound, radar, lidar, power trace, and torque sensor data.
• Design algorithms that interpret and respond to diverse sensor signals.
• Develop AI systems integrated with large language models to support agentic workflows and automate complex tasks.
• Build multimodal retrieval-augmented generation applications using text, images, and audio.
• Collaborate with teams worldwide to implement and deploy AI solutions on embedded platforms.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Deep Learning Engineer, Research Engineer, or in a related role designing, developing, and maintaining deep learning pipelines for acoustic and vibration signals.
• Professional experience with deep learning and signal processing frameworks in Python.
• Experience with PyTorch, Lightning, MLFlow, Numpy, Scipy, and Matplotlib.
