Software Engineer III (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $102,000–$169,107.50 annual base pay, with potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Integrate agents with hirify.global’s HCM platform and enterprise systems through APIs, tools, MCP servers, and function calling.
• Own delivery of agent-powered features and projects in collaboration with product, architecture, and engineering partners.
• Design multi-agent coordination, task delegation, communication protocols, and scalable agentic architectures.
• Build observability, telemetry, monitoring, versioning, cost controls, and lifecycle management for agent-powered services.
• Develop agent-specific testing and evaluation strategies, review code, document solutions, and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic AI systems.
• Deep expertise in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or another programming language.
• Production experience with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
• Knowledge of agent orchestration, tool-use architectures, prompt and context engineering, ReAct, multi-agent collaboration, APIs, REST, and MCP.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, GitHub, software architecture, DevOps, telemetry, and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent evaluation frameworks, prompt testing, tool validation, or adversarial testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, production observability tools, and agile methodologies.
• Experience developing accessible technologies and participating in diversity and inclusion initiatives.
