C++ Software Developer (Robotics)

Location: Customer integrator facilities, factories, and warehouses; travel comprises 10–20% of work days.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust C++ applications for industrial robots.
• Administer and configure Ubuntu Linux servers for high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• Develop Bash or Python automation scripts for provisioning and operational efficiency.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable software deployments.
• Travel to integrator facilities, factories, and warehouses to support customer deployments.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++.
• Extensive hands-on experience administering Ubuntu Linux and working from the command line.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security, and protocols.
• Ability to teach, mentor, or lead technical teams in adopting SDLC practices and software engineering standards.
• Strong Git experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice to have

• Python and Docker experience.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity practices for network perimeters and server environments.
• Experience with ROS, Protocol Buffers, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience installing robot arms, configuring end effectors, vacuum and electrical circuits, simple CAD, 3D printing, and 80/20 frames.
