Interior Designer

Location: Warwick, RI, United States; work includes showroom presence, in-home consultations, evenings, weekends, holidays, and local driving.

Training pay: $23 per hour for 2–6 weeks without commission. Post-training base pay: $36,000 per year, plus uncapped commission. Total compensation range: $70,000–$100,000+ per year.

What you will do

• Promote the in-home design program and develop customized design solutions and portfolio presentations.
• Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand clients’ lifestyles, preferences, budgets, and design visions.
• Create design concepts and digital presentations featuring finish selections, furnishings, and décor.
• Recommend layouts, products, and cohesive solutions that combine comfort, style, and functionality.
• Partner with store and sales managers to coach sales teams on design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, and in-home design performance.
• Support store operations, promotions, meetings, administrative procedures, accounting practices, and visual brand standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales or residential interior design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and computer-aided design programs.
• Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, analytical, financial, customer service, and goal-oriented skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work business-required evenings, weekends, and holidays and to complete in-home consultations.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and pass a background and drug screen.
