Lead Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; office attendance four days per week with flexibility to work remotely one day per week

Base salary: USD 120,000–225,000 per year, plus potential bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and develop full-stack user-facing applications and workflows across services, web, infrastructure, and back-end systems.
• Lead architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of business solutions with business analysts, QA engineers, and investment compliance stakeholders.
• Develop solutions that enhance and streamline investor workflows and optimize existing systems for performance.
• Review business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans; prepare estimates, identify issues, and raise risks.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and cross-functional technology projects.
• Implement AI-driven workflow solutions, observability, data-quality, and alerting tools while providing production support during on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a record of delivering high-quality, user-facing solutions.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and Node.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, orchestration tools, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, work independently, and collaborate across teams in a business-critical environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
