Sr. Footwear Merchant - International

Location: Hybrid role based near Portland, Oregon, United States; onsite four days per week. Travel up to 20% of the time.

What you will do

• Build market- and consumer-relevant seasonal footwear assortments for the International Distributor Region using performance data, trend insights, and financial analysis.
• Implement merchandising strategies balancing brand-building initiatives with high-volume commercial products.
• Support end-in-mind assortment planning, including channel segmentation, pricing strategy, merchandising classification, and style-count goals.
• Coordinate product handover and seasonal adoption with Sales, Planning, Product Creation teams, and external partners.
• Maintain merchandising systems and data covering adoption, pricing, forecasting, and catalog readiness.
• Own the SMU line, sample ordering, and sample room organization while educating sales teams on products, technologies, assortments, and brand initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of merchandising experience in sportswear, outdoor, or specialty retail categories.
• Strong business, product management, financial acumen, and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of consumers, retail landscapes, and competitive marketplaces.
• Strong communication, persuasion, storytelling, presentation, and cross-functional influence skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent merchandising or sales experience.
