Sr. Full Stack Java Developer

What you will do

• Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
• Analyze and resolve multifaceted, large-scale, and long-term engineering challenges.
• Develop and maintain a policy governance platform with a growing user base.
• Build and support full-stack Java applications using Angular, REST APIs, and SQL Server databases.
• Support Regulatory and Policy Updates initiatives and collaborate with development, QA, product, and operations teams.
• Work in Agile/Scrum processes and participate in monthly release cycles.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent professional, consulting, training, military, or educational experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on Java application development with Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, RESTful APIs, JDBC, JPA, and unit testing frameworks.
• 6+ years of experience developing responsive and scalable Angular user interfaces.
• 3+ years of SQL Server development, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
• Experience with J2EE architecture, object-oriented design, industry-standard design patterns, microservices, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot Agent, or Devin.
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.
