Senior Stamping Process Engineer (Stamping)

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve stamping process capabilities.
• Analyze numerical data and KPI monitoring systems to optimize workflows and process development.
• Support new product introduction activities and prepare products and processes for launch.
• Design stamping dies and other tooling for process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement and communicate product specifications with stamping contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with local, legal, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of stamping process and die design or equivalent experience.
• Experience with steel stamping, die design, and compound, progressive, and transfer technologies.
• Strong conceptualization skills for mechanical components and understanding of component strength requirements.
• Proficiency in CAD and/or UG for reading, creating, and editing drawings, with knowledge of GD&T and ASME 14.5-1982.
• Knowledge of Lean System tools and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with aluminum and copper stamping processes.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Red-X Apprentice certification.
