Licensed Optician Full Time

Location: Framingham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $28.00–$34.25 per hour, excluding additional spiff-program compensation.

What you will do

• Dispense spectacles and other optical products for adults and children using prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Verify prescription and order-entry information, file orders correctly, and update product status through dispensing.
• Take measurements, read prescriptions with a lensometer, select suitable frames, and notify members when products are ready.
• Provide in-person and phone service, explain exam-fee procedures, recommend products, and support sales and performance goals.
• Perform eyeglass adjustments and repairs, assist with opening and closing procedures, and accurately handle payments.
• Follow club policies, safety standards, privacy requirements, and HIPAA compliance obligations.

Requirements

• Active optician license for the state of employment is required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices is preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, or wholesale, retail, or optical experience is preferred.
