Security Operations Engineer, AVP - Security Operations Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Expected annual base salary: $106,000–$170,000

What you will do

• Design and customize complex SIEM search queries, dashboards, forensic workflows, and security analytics.
• Develop SOAR automations supporting incident response and investigation workflows.
• Define and document configuration standards, policies, and procedures for security and SIEM platforms.
• Lead the development and delivery of custom security content, system integrations, and event reporting.
• Provision and maintain cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform.
• Build and maintain security systems for CI/CD, secrets management, and other core services.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in information security or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of infrastructure or software engineering experience focused on cloud technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Office 365, and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on SIEM experience, including Splunk, detection engineering, SOAR, and automated response.
• Development or scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell, plus Terraform, Git, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with security event detection platforms, containers and orchestration, asset hardening using CIS/STIG, and Endpoint Detection and Response systems; a relevant bachelor's degree is required.
