Facilities Engineer, Electrical (AI)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee and Southaven, Mississippi, United States. The role requires onsite facilities, maintenance, construction, emergency response, travel to other project sites, extended hours, and occasional weekend work.

What you will do

• Coordinate site development and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, schedules, construction activities, and project close-out.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, including supplier selection, proposals, specifications, contracts, negotiations, and close-out.
• Provide engineering support and ensure construction and maintenance comply with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
• Commission, operate, and maintain mechanical and electrical facility systems, including HVAC, high-power equipment, cranes, lighting, security, and fire protection.
• Develop cost estimates, material requisitions, plans, specifications, and capital expenditure submissions while tracking budgets and deadlines.
• Maintain facility readiness, respond to emergencies, and coordinate permits, certificates, and final inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in facilities engineering and/or construction.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
• Experience with facility maintenance or construction involving electrical, HVAC, structural, or building systems.
• Ability to read, review, and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for travel, extended hours, and weekends; ability to work in outdoor environments and around fumes, odors, and noise.

Nice to have

• Experience producing fabrication drawings in AutoCAD and using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience operating boom lifts, man lifts, forklifts, and cranes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
