AI Platform Engineer

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus eligible discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 10% each.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, scale, and operate enterprise AI and automation platforms across Dev, QA, UAT, and production environments.
• Engineer and optimize PostgreSQL and Redis infrastructure, including replication, high availability, failover, backups, recovery, and performance.
• Operate hardened Linux hosts and Docker/Kubernetes environments and implement HA/DR capabilities against defined RTO/RPO targets.
• Build observability dashboards, alerts, and runbooks while leading incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain CI/CD promotion workflows and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or an equivalent tool.
• Define and enforce platform standards, RBAC, security controls, configuration governance, audit support, and regulatory compliance practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on platform or infrastructure engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong PostgreSQL administration experience covering replication, high availability, backup and restore, point-in-time recovery, connection pooling, and query tuning.
• Operational Redis experience with Sentinel or Cluster, persistence, eviction policies, and queue or pub/sub workloads.
• Strong Linux administration and experience with Docker and containerized applications; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise platform deployment and hardening, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript scripting, CI/CD, and Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience integrating platforms with Entra ID or Azure AD for SSO/OIDC and RBAC, plus governance and audit support in a regulated environment.
