AI Platform Engineer (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required.

Salary: $84,400–$156,800 annually.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, secure, and maintain AI application environments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Adapt containerized applications for secured and hardened OCI environments using Docker, Kubernetes, OKE, and OCIR.
• Design secure OCI networking, including VCNs, private subnets, routing, DNS, private endpoints, and enterprise connectivity.
• Implement IAM, authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, secrets, certificates, encryption, and secure service-to-service communication.
• Build auditable cloud environments with Terraform and integrate deployments with source control, CI/CD, security scanning, monitoring, and release processes.
• Collaborate with application development and cybersecurity teams on architecture reviews, hardening, compliance, troubleshooting, and production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud security, or related enterprise engineering.
• Hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience across networking, compute, IAM, storage, security, logging, monitoring, and cloud-native services.
• Experience with cloud networking, IAM, authentication, authorization, secrets management, certificates, encryption, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated builds, vulnerability scanning, logging, monitoring, and DevSecOps practices.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance and able to work on-site in Arlington, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience securing generative AI, machine learning, or data-intensive applications and working with OCI AI services.
• Experience with OCI Vault, Certificates, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, OKE, OCIR, OCI Functions, and API Gateway.
• Experience integrating applications with LLMs, APIs, databases, enterprise systems, AI tool frameworks, or Model Context Protocol.
• Knowledge of AI security risks such as prompt injection, excessive permissions, sensitive-data exposure, and insecure tool access.
• OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud security certifications, and experience with Federal or DoD systems.
