Senior Software Engineer, Network Tools (Frontend)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $112,800–$135,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and scale network tooling infrastructure and user-facing automation tools.
• Use Python, Ansible, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and other automation technologies to streamline NOC information gathering and customer communications.
• Automate trouble-ticket responses, mass customer communications, and ticket enrichment workflows.
• Refactor existing tools into a cohesive suite that improves usability and reduces manual work.
• Own features through the full project lifecycle and collaborate with software developers for timely, high-quality delivery.
• Partner with DevOps, Security, and SRE to maintain application security and performance.

Requirements

• At least seven years of software development experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and multiple databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, asynchronous processing, and message buses such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience creating automated software tests and delivering, maintaining, and promoting production software products.
• Strong Linux command-line skills and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Current authorization to work full time in the United States; employer-sponsored work visas are not available.

Nice to have

• Network automation experience with Juniper, Nokia, Infinera, Ciena, Fujitsu, or Cisco devices.
• Experience with network orchestration platforms such as Ciena Blue Planet MDSO or Cisco NSO.
• Experience with SevOne, Assure1, or Nagios monitoring platforms.
• CCNA, JNCIP, or another networking certification.
• Experience with Perl.
