Mortgage Loan Originator (Fintech)

Location: San Diego, CA; residential mortgage origination across the United States. Employment eligibility is verified through the U.S. E-Verify program.

Target range: $60,000–$125,000 per year. Base pay: $17.75 per hour plus uncapped commission.

What you will do

• Originate high-quality residential mortgages across the United States.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine preliminary home loan eligibility.
• Recommend mortgage products within customers’ budgets and construct lending solutions aligned with their homeownership goals.
• Consult with customers about current and future needs while providing strong customer service.
• Manage leads, meet minimum lead-to-fund conversion requirements, and build a network of real estate agent partners.
• Stay informed about available loan types and related financial products.

Requirements

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to learn and react quickly at a faster-than-average pace.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
• Sales-oriented approach.
• Preferably 1+ year of sales experience or retail lending experience.
• Must successfully pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana screening.
• Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements verified through the U.S. E-Verify program.
