Mortgage Loan Originator (Fintech)

Location: San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $60,000–$125,000 per year; $17.75 per hour base pay plus uncapped commission.

What you will do

• Originate high-quality residential mortgages across the United States.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to assess preliminary loan eligibility.
• Recommend mortgage products that fit customers’ budgets and homeownership goals.
• Consult with customers about current and future financial needs while providing strong customer service.
• Manage inbound leads, meet minimum lead-to-fund conversion requirements, and build a network of real estate agent partners.
• Stay informed about loan types and related financial products to create appropriate lending solutions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience or retail lending experience preferred.
• Sales-oriented, highly motivated, adaptable, and able to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
• Must work in the San Diego, California location.
• Successful completion of a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Employment eligibility verification through E-Verify and the right to work in the United States are required.
