Mortgage Loan Officer - Mankato, MN

Location: Mankato, Minnesota, United States; office-based

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 per hour as a non-recoverable draw reconciled against earned incentive compensation, plus eligibility for an applicable incentive compensation plan.

What you will do

• Develop and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage loan business.
• Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Provide customer service from loan approval through closing.
• Work with loan origination sources to secure and verify information required for underwriting.
• Maintain client relationships and assist customers with completing loan applications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Effective written and verbal communication, strong organization, multitasking, and PC and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities for financial products and services.
