Lead Piercer

Location: United States; onsite

Base pay: $27–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Manage the full piercing customer journey, including greeting, check-in, styling, transactions, service delivery, and aftercare education.
• Perform needle piercings and provide guidance on jewelry materials, sizing, gemstones, metals, downsizing, and individual ear-stack planning.
• Explain procedures, risks, medical considerations, infection symptoms, and appropriate aftercare to clients.
• Oversee studio operations, inventory, appointment scheduling, equipment orders, cleanliness, sharps, biohazard waste, and client records.
• Maintain health, safety, legal, identification, waiver, and local piercing-law compliance.
• Train and support store staff, improve studio processes with the Store Manager, and promote piercing and other in-store services.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with needle piercing.
• Experience working with threadless jewelry and an autoclave or Statim.
• Current First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA certifications.
• Ability to obtain or maintain required local registrations, permits, vaccinations, and related credentials.
• Strong knowledge of piercing health and safety protocols and local legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience delivering service excellence in a consumer environment.
