Certified Surgical Technologist, Surgery

What you will do

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Create and maintain sterile fields using proper scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and setup techniques.
• Set up, perform, and clean assigned procedures as a scrub technician and/or circulator.
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment and instrumentation, including lasers, microscopes, endoscopes, drills, and saws.
• Perform sharp, sponge, and instrument counts and apply procedures for incorrect counts.
• Position patients safely, complete room turnover and terminal cleaning, and support quality and cost-effective care initiatives.

Requirements

• Current and active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C certification is required.
• Certification must be issued by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• No prior experience is required with certification.
• Full-time schedule of 80 hours per pay period with variable shifts.
